Grateful, growing, happy.
Lover of all things food, adventure, and holistic living.
My passion has become my profession.
Though it's taken me a while to get here.
So far. (The short version.)
My first love was language. Spanish, English, dance, art, reading, writing, moving, creating.
And then travel, wanderlust. So much to see and do. So little time.
In school, I studied Spanish and Latin American Studies.
I loved science and the arts.
And I became a teacher.
Later, I moved away with my love.
Belo Horizonte, Buenos Aires, Baltimore.
Coffee and cachaça, steak and empanadas, Fernet con Coca. Salsa y merengue.
Ups and downs and ups.
When I came home, I went back to school.
I wore scrubs, a stethoscope, and Danskos.
But I was drowning in stress, overwhelm, and anxiety.
Too much caffeine and fast/processed/cafeteria food.
Too little sleep, peace, ease, and self-care.
The result? Asthma, allergies, acid reflux, colds, and IBS.
A cycle of docs + meds began.
But nothing helped.
And anxiety turned to depression.
Until someone suggested that I could change everything. With food.
And so I did. And three months later, all my symptoms were gone.
I was shocked. And elated. And angry.
Changing my diet and (later) my lifestyle had completely changed my life.
I could breathe again, had energy again, and felt optimistic about the future.
Why hadn't anyone told me about this option?
Health, built on a foundation of real food, education, love, and support.
So I started my own practice.
And I became a coach.
I started a website, a Facebook page, and an Instagram account.
And now, I offer personalized private coaching (virtually and in-person) along with beautiful essential oils, seasonal (whole foods) cleanses, and group classes.
And to empower people to live their healthiest, happiest lives, as naturally as possible.
