DIY Deodorant (Completely natural AND awesomely effective!)

Do yourself a favor and make this tonight!

It's the best deodorant I've ever tried AND it's all natural! (No, but really all-natural.)

You'll find that when you change the way you eat (the real-food way), you start to pay more attention to other things you're putting in and on your body. And you won't want any of these potentially harmful/carcinogenic/dangerous ingredients on the list:

    • Parabens
    • Aluminum
    • Propylene Glycol
    • TEA & DEA
    • Triclosan
    • Artificial colors or scents

Another cool thing about this deodorant is that you'll only need a little bit (I used to work in an ER and I do hot yoga - and this stuff holds up) and it will probably last you around three months!

    You'll need:
    1/8 cup arrowroot powder
    1/8 cup baking soda
3-4 tablespoons coconut oil (the organic, solid kind)
6-8 drops of your choice of essential oils*

*You can switch these up and use more or less according to preference. Keep the added oils to a minimum initially, in case of irritation. I used Lavender and Melaleuca, for their soothing and protective properties. Melaleuca is a particularly strong one - but great for helping to keep the odors away!

Combine and mix well. It takes a little time, due to the solid coconut oil, but will soon come together nicely. Store in a small mason jar - or try it in an empty deodorant container.

Share it with your friends! And if you'd like to sample some oils, hit me up (if you love them and want more of them, I can show you how to get wholesale prices).
